Kakivak Association Delivers Home Learning Kits

For Immediate Release

This week Kakivak Association will be shipping over 600 Home Learning Kits to children that attend childcare facilities in the Qikiqtani Region. Each kit includes culturally appropriate books, puzzles, games, and toys that will appeal to children of all ages. This effort was made possible through partnership with Employment and Social Development Canada.

“We are very excited about sending these backpacks full of learning and fun to children throughout the Qikiqtani Region” said Jeremy Tunraluk, the Board Chair for Kakivak Association. “Our children are our future, and we want to support their passion for learning and discovery.”

November 20 is Universal Children’s Day and Kakivak Association believes that this is a great time to thank the children who make such a huge difference in our lives. Thank you all for making us smile!

For over 20 years, Kakivak Association has been providing financial support to childcare centres in the Qikiqtani Region and we are pleased to be able to see that level of support has been increasing in recent years.

Kakivak Association has also enhanced support to childcare centres during the COVID-19 Pandemic- providing cleaning and sanitizing supplies, personal protective equipment, and medical grade air purifiers that can remove airborne viruses.

We are proud to support the future of our community through its youngest members.
